Resources: A Toolkit for Unaccompanied Youth
Welcome
The purpose of this guide is to support newcomers to California when enrolling in school as well as accessing healthcare and other critical resources. This toolkit is especially helpful for youth who recently arrived in the United States without their parents and the individuals and organizations navigating them.
This toolkit was produced by Community Justice Alliance (“CJA”) with funding from California Department of Public Health. CJA extends deep gratitude to the impacted youth in California who are pictured throughout the toolkit and guided the development of responsive resources, Cid & Macedo for its valuable contributions, and Augie Blancas for the vibrant photography.

El propósito de esta guía es apoyar a los recién llegados a California cuando se inscriban en la escuela, así como para acceder a la atención médica y otros recursos críticos. There are organizations and people ready to help you. Use the information in the toolkit to find assistance and services. The toolkit includes resources for food support, health care, vaccination, mental health support, enrolling in school, finding an attorney, assistance with your case information, and information for providers.
